CMCS Research Fellow Stefania Milan co-authored a newly released fourth edition of the widely used textbook Media/Society - Industries, Images, and Audiences. The publication, co-authored by David Croteau, William Hoynes and Stefania, provides students with a broader framework for understanding the relationship between media and society. While most students are intensely familiar with the full range of "traditional" and new media products even before they enter the classroom, this publication helps them to critically evaluate both conventional wisdom and their own assumptions about the social role of the media.
